Starburst Records is thrilled to announce the addition of Leonard Daniel Perry to our roster of recording Artists. Len is a highly accomplished guitarist in jazz and classical. A graduate and former professor of Berklee School of Music in Boston, he now resides in Davie, Florida. We will soon be publishing Len’s first worldwide album release called “Introspections” containing 12 original musical compositions on August 6, 2021.

Len began guitar playing guitar at age 15 and teaching at 16. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1968 with a major in Arranging/Composition. He was then recruited by the school to serve as a teaching Professor at Berklee from 1968-1973 teaching courses in Guitar, Guitar Ensemble, Theory, Ear Training & Traditional Composition.

Len has performed in band’s continuously since the age of 16 to the present as well as solo guitarist in Churches, Concerts, Private Parties and Night Clubs. Len remains very active as a teacher of guitar to 30-40 students a week. He hosts Open Mics and Music Showcases featuring local musicians from young children to older folks. Perform mostly solo guitar and occasionally his own Jazz Band called RETURN TO JAZZ and other musicians in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami/West Palm Beach Florida area.

Significant influencers in his playing style include Mick Goodrick, Howard Roberts, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Joe Pass and others in the jazz idiom and Andres Segovia and Julian Bream with respect to classical guitar.
